In a huge win for the program, the Colorado State Rams beat Southern California 38-21 in the Las Vegas Bowl. The win is a capstone to CSU's winningest football season ever, finishing at an 11-2 mark. The Rams earned the Mountain West Conference Title, going undefeated in conference play and 2-0 in rivalry games.

Coach Berta's offense was clicking on all cylinders in Las Vegas, as sophomore quarterback Pete Thomas completed 15 of 23 passes for 356 yards and 3 touchdowns and redshirt sophomore Chris Nwoke rushed 29 times for 174 times as the offense turned the ball over zero times. The CSU rush defense was once again stellar, allowing just 28 yards on the ground to finish the year ranked in the nation's top five rush defenses.

Rumors are already swirling that Berta's first season in Fort Collins could be his last. The coach has made it clear that his desire is to coach long-term at a BCS school, which is something the Rams just can't offer. After signing just a one year contract last spring, Colorado State is going to be feeling the heat to keep its coach, especially after dismantling one of the nation's powers in USC.

Well, I was playing for capp34, won, and as the final whistle blew, the game just didn't proceed any further. It panned around the stadium for a half an hour. I left it up and cut the grass, came back, and it will still doing the same thing. I'll replay now.

Just not a well played game by me. I lead in almost every stat category, except for the most important one... scoring. The past is the past and the Golden Eagles will take this lost into the off season as motivation for next year.

Troy Close Out the Year With Win Over SMU
    Finish 9-4 on the Year

Troy entered the New Orleans Bowl looking to put an exclamation point on their season as they won the Sun Belt title run and were looking to get their 9th win on the season. Standing in Trojans way was SMU and their pass happy offense. But it as all Trojans as the Troy offense controlled the ball and the clock and the Trojans defense confused, hurries, battered and frustrated the SMU offense. After falling behind 10-0 to SMU the Trojans made a slight adjustment on defense and the proceeded to score 42 unanswered points as the offense found its stride and the defense shut down the Mustangs. SMU finally found the end zone again late in the 4th qtr after Troy had made mass substitutions but it was too little too late and Troy cruised to 42-17 win.
