The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs had a huge win this week in Reno against the Wolfpack. While on the offensive side of the ball, the Bulldogs struggled, their special teams and defense stepped up and made some huge plays. Three interceptions, including one for a touchdown and another one handed snag with less than a minute on the clock were two of the defining plays of the game. Louisiana Tech will have their biggest game of the season yet when the team hosts New Mexico State in a game they will need to win to become the WAC Champions. Tech is already bowl eligible so this has turned out to be a solid first year at the helm for Coach E.

Rams taking the off week to prepare for back-to-back rivalry games against Air Force and Wyoming. Win both, win the MWC.

Not to much to report. Southern Miss controlled the clock, forced turnovers, and ran away with the game.

The North Texas Mean Green earn their 4th win of the season after they have their best offensive outing of the season vs. Western Kentucky Hill Toppers.

Troy and Florida Atlantic squared off in a game that could go along way in deciding who will win the Sun Belt Conference Title. The two teams entered the game locked in a 3 way tie for the conference lead with Arkansas State. The game played out like a heavy weight title fight. After trading punches for most of the first qtr, FAU landed the first major blow when Morris plunged in from 2 yard out to give the visiting Owl the early 7-0 lead. The score stayed this way until late in the 2nd qtr when Troy responded with a 5 yard run by Southward and the two teams headed to the locker room tied at 7-7. The two teams continued to play outstanding defense in the 3rd qtr when Troy landed a quick blow with a 74 yard TD pass to Moncrief to take a 14-7 lead. In the 4th qtr Troy increased their lead to 17-7 before FAU with a 41 yard TD pass. After a failed onside kick Troy ran out the clock and held on for a 17-14 win.

Great game boiler. I enjoyed the defensive battle.
