In their season finale the Golden Flash gave their fans a wild ride that covered all phases of emotions. The Flash fell behind 17-7 in the 1st Qtr only to rally and trail 27-21 going into halftime. Then in the 2nd half the Golden Flash teased their fans as they took the lead 28-27 and then extended it to 35-27 with less than 2 minutes remaining. After failing to run out the clock Kent State gave the ball back to Ohio at the 2 yard line with 23 seconds remaining. Then suddenly the joy and excitement that the Golden Flash fans were feeling turned into shocked horror when on the last play of the game the Ohio QB connected on a 47 yard bomb against prevent coverage. The stunned Kent State defense failed to stop the 2 point conversion and suddenly the Golden Flash were going to overtime. In OT the Flash was finally able to stop the Ohio HB, who had shredded the Kent defense all night long, and forced Ohio to settle for a FG. On Kent State turn they surgically cut thru the Ohio defense and on 2nd and goal from the 5 scored the game winner.

Idaho drops another game at the hands of Utah State 24-14.
While this season is down the drain for the Vandals coach Sabo still thinks there is lots to learn. The Vandals seem to be losing the turnover battle and that has caused their downfall.
