Trojans Come up 2 Yards Short Fall to 0-2 vs Clemson
USC came into the game against Clemson looking to gets its offense going after a poor showing in week 1 vs Va Tech. The Trojans were able to move the ball better at times but it still lacked the consistent ball control and still committed too many turnovers. The Trojans were able to solve their pass protection as they reduced the number of sacks from 7 vs Va Tech to a couple vs Clemson. After falling behind 14-3 the Trojans were able to pull within 14-10 at the half, and the game stayed that way until the 4th qtr when Clemson increased their lead to 17-10. But the Trojans put together one of their better drives of the game and moved the ball to the Tigers 2 yard line with less than a minute to play. After two plays off tackle failed to gain the Trojans tried some misdirection which also failed to gain forcing the Trojans to go on 4th down with less than 10 seconds remaining. On the Trojans final play the Tiger CB jammed the intended receiver just enough to throw him off his route as the ball sailed wide and USC fell to 0-2.

Miami escaped Cal 17-14 in a battle. Miami forced a good amount of turnovers which ending up being the turning point in the game. There was one really strange play where Cal intercepted the ball and either got hit or pitched the ball back resulting in Miami getting the ball back and getting some much needed points. Good game as always John Crow
