    #8 Texas 28 - USC 27
    Longhorns win on missed PAT

With :39 left in the game, USC was able to put the ball into the endzone and make it a 28-27 ball game. All that was left was an extra point and surely the game would be headed into overtime. USC lined up for the routine kick but it sailed wide right and Texas was able to escape with the Week 1 victory.

    Stats that Matter
    Texas passing (2 QBs): 17-27 for 263 + 2 TD - 1 INT
    USC's Jesse Scroggins: 18-22 for 385 + 4 TD - 0 INT

Texas rushing: 4.85 yards per rush (33 attempts)
USC rushing: 2.26 yards per rush (19 attempts)

Texas kicking: 0-0 FG 4-4 XP
USC kicking: 0-2 FG 3-4 XP

Arkansas shakes off cob webs by thumping Missouri. Arkansas's offense was running on all cylinders and Missouri could do nothing about it. Arkansas Sr RB Kniles Davis ran hard and picked up big first downs to lead his team to victory.

    Arkansas

    QB Mitchell 9-11-159 2 TD's
    QB Walker 9-14 129 1 TD 1 INT

RB Davis 18 ATT 113 YDS 1 TD

    WR Ray 6 REC 84 YDS 2 TD's

    Missouri

    QB Franlin 15-21 1 TD 1 INT

RB Josey 12 ATT 50 YDS 1 Fumb

WR Waters 4 REC 96 YDS

Nebraska beat me up! Was hard to move the ball on him. Restarting my offense, only to fall flat on my face. On D, his unique O left me scrambling for answers. Those answers came too late, and my late surge got stopped on my own 13 trying to scramble for the first down. Hopefully I can work on getting my new playbook in order and give a better showing before seeing my next user.

On a side note the first time i played this game i won 35-21 and had some great highlights, but the game froze in the loading screen when it was trying to get back to the dynasty. So i now have two sets of highlights for this game lol.

Alabama Debuts Coach uagrad90 Return In Style

The Crimson Tide opened the year under new coach uagrad90 with a fast and furious start as they Alabama cruised to a 42-7 win on North Carolina. Less than a minute into the game the Crimson Tide was leading 14-0 on the strength of a 98 kickoff return for a TD and fumble recovery returned for a TD. The Crimson Tide continued to put the pressure on the Tar Heels and by the half had built an insurmountable 35-7 lead.

The Florida Gators opened up the season against one of their intrastate rivals, beating the FSU Seminoles, 38-20.

Trey Burton had a solid all around game first getting the Gators on the board with a 15 yard TD strike, and then taking one in on the ground from 11 yards out. On the following drive, the Gators' D stepped up and caused a fumble, which was returned 14 yards by DT Dominique Easley.

In the second half it was more of the same as the Gators went to the air connecting on scoring plays of 13 and 67 yards.

    Key Performers
    Trey Burton 15 of 19, 269 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT
Travis Banks 2 catches 113 yards, 1 TD
Jordan Reed 6 catches 71 yards, 1 TD

Nebraska opened the season with uncertainty, as their starting QB and HB from last year are both gone. Coach E declared that he would play QB by committee the first couple games of the season until a clear cut starter is made apparent. This decision paid off for the Huskers. True Freshman speedster Blake Wagner and Junior Brion Carnes combined to share the duties at QB for the Huskers. Nebraska stopped Tennessee on their first possession and followed it with a score, the Huskers never gave up the lead.

Nebraska Cornhuskers 34 at Tennessee Volunteers 22

    Nebraska Key Performers
    QB - Brion Carnes 10/16 for 188 yards, 2 TD 1 INT
HB - Dntrayevous Robinson 26 carries for 180 yards, 1 TD
TE - Lorenzo Lowe 5 catches for 72 yards, 2 TD

    Tennessee Key Performers
WR - Rico Hearn 3 catches for 52 yards, 1 TD
    QB - Nash Nance 7/14 for 68 yards, 1 TD 2 INT
