#1 LSU Slams the Door on #2 Alabama Title Hopes

Top ranked LSU traveled to Tuscaloosa to face 2nd ranked Alabama in a game that would go along way in determining the SEC West winner and a possible shot at a National Title. The Tigers jumped out early to a 14-0 lead with the pressure defense from the Tigers. In the 2nd qtr the Crimson Tied pulled within 7 before an untimely interception gave the Tigers great field position which they converted into a 26 yard FG and a 17-7 halftime lead and setup one of the more exciting and frustrating 2nd half's in Tuscaloosa this year. After a TDs from Alabama and one from LSU the Crimson Tide trailed 24-21 with less than 5 minutes to play. The Crimson Tide got the break they were needing after forcing a fumble deep in Tiger territory. Despite already committing 3 turnovers Alabama was in position to claim the lead. But a bad read and 74 yards later the Tigers increased their lead back to 10 with pick #4. After a last ditch effort was stopped in the end zone with pick#5 the Tigers left Tuscaloosa with the SEC West title within grasp.

Great Game by Ford as usual.

Texas cruises past Baylor 45-8. The game was only close before the first kickoff, after that Texas rolled for much of the game.
