Tried to hand one away in the fourth against Stanford, ended up winning 23-21. Gotta find a running game without Finch for the year. All-American WR Trey Franks or former Blue Chip Athlete now-backup FS Brad Smith might see some extended time in the backfield.

Stanford played a solid game against me too. I was impressed with how well they moved the ball and they played good defense as well.

UCLA had a monster WR that must have amazing SPC. He caught some crazy passes. But, other than him they were soft. I am still struggling to get a consistant offense that i'm comfortable with. My RB Duo seems to be decent. I miss all my offensive weapons that left early :( Add bray / DaRick / my RB, and we'd be rolling. Losing them, and changing PBs has gotten me off to a slow start.

    Arkansas 31
    Florida State 21

Arkansas QB Brandon Mitchell went down early in the first Qtr. Backup QB Jacoby Walker stepped in and led Arkansas to victory over a pesky FSU team that refused to lay down.

    Arkansas
    QB J.Walker 12-17 200 YDS 1 TD
    QB B.Mitchell 7-12 142 YDS 1 TD

    WR J.Herndon 5 REC 96 YDS 1 TD
    WR J.Horton 5 REC 120 YDS

    FSU
    QB W.Secord 19-27 324 YDS 2 TD's 1 INT

    WR K.Shaw 6 REC 83 YDS
    WR C.Green 3 REC 93 YDS 1 TD

Arkansas will now shift their focus to their first SEC match up of the year, the hated rival Alabama Crimson Tide.

Crimson Tide Defense Too Much for Hokies

#16 Alabama entered the game against #18 Virgina Tech looking to see improvement on the defense side while looking for a more consistent effort from the offense. The Alabama defense came through holding the Hokies to 52 total offensive yards while forcing 2 turnovers and recording 2 sacks. But the Alabama offense struggled most of the game with the Va Tech blitz defense. The Crimson Tide moved the ball with ease until they crossed over into Hokie territory and that is where the Crimson Tide saw several drives stall out and was forced to settle for 3 1st half FGs. The Alabama offense finally wore down the Va Tech defense and in the 2nd half finally was able to find the end zone. Next week the Crimson Tide returns to Bryant Denny and a SEC West showdown with Arkansas.

Longhorns make the big plays when they matter

Key stops late in the game and a huge kickoff return to end the 3rd quarter all but sealed the game for Texas. It was back and forth for much of the game as UT went into half up 10. Michigan would answer back on their first drive of the 3rd quarter and the teams would trade scores for the rest of the game, but it was too little to late for the Wolverines.

    Stats that Matter
    Texas 3rd down efficiency: 73.33%
    Michigan 3rd down efficiency: 46.15%

    Texas rushing: 38 rushes for 178 + 1 TD
    Michigan rushing: 21 rushes for -12 + 0 TD

Texas kicking: 3-3 FG 3-3 XP (long 51)
Michigan kicking: 0-1 FG 3-3 XP

    # 12 Auburn pulls out a against #8 BC 24-9 Defense play well at times but our Offense is really struggling to find its identity. Our RB has 85 yards rushing in 2 games and that will not do it for the Tigers. Our long rush is 10 yards. We must find a way to move the ball on the ground or we will lose 5 games this year.
