Crimson Tide Rides Defense to Win Over Vols

The Crimson Tide won a hard fought game against Rival Tennessee on the strength of the Alabama defense. The Vols came out and focused on shutting down Lacey and the Alabama run game forcing the Tide to throw the ball. The Crimson Tide was able to move the ball and keep the Vols potentate offense off the field much of the game while rolling up 38 points. But the key to the game for the Crimson Tide was the Alabama defense. The Crimson Tide picked off 3 passes and recorded 3 sacks as they held Tennessee scoreless until late in the 3rd quarter. With the win Alabama keeps pace in the SEC West race and sets up a huge showdown in week 10 with the #1 ranked LSU Tigers.

Great game Joe. The stats are misleading as we had a disconnect early in the 2nd qtr with Bama up 14-0, so the first two TDs were scores to get us back to that point. Again great game Joe.
