Notre Dame starts the 2026 campaign with a big 20-10 win over the Horns in Austin. It was a defensive struggle throughout and the Irish victory was keyed by a couple of second half interceptions and a good pass rush.

Great game Tuco. You played really well and didn't make any mistakes. We've got a few things to figure out, hopefully we can get them squared away before we play USC Week 2.

    Auburn crushes Penn State 34-7

First year starter QB Dustin Douglas throws 4 TDs and no INTs as Auburn routes Penn State in a rematch of last seasons Capital One bowl.

Penn State's spread offense was no match for Coach Eyeke this time around, and was held to negative yards rushing for the game and under 100 total yards. The Nittany Lions also were unable to convert any of their 3rd down attempts and threw one INT.

Auburn played amazing on defense and did the things needed to win on offense, 2000 Ravens style. Douglas made a few timely scrambles to extend drives and hit tight end Edwards for two TDs. Most importantly the Tigers had zero turnovers.

All American HB Brett Ruffin did little to impress NFL scouts in this matchup of top 15 teams, carrying the ball 15 times for little yardage and only had one run over 10 yards that was sprung by a timely option pitch.
