Dammit! They are who we thought they are. We had them on the ropes, and we let them go. The heavily favored Washington Huskies traveled south to the great state of Mississippi to take on the Coronel and his Ole Miss Rebels. The Huskies thought they had a cake walk early after racing out to a 21-7 lead, and scaring the starting QB out of the game. But after a 69 yard TAINT from Sequenz Golson and the emergence of backup QB Randall Mackey, Ole Miss tied the game at 21-21 to begin the 4th quarter.

No sooner did the fans exhale after the following kickoff, than U-Dub takes it 101 yards for the stomach punching score. 28-21. You know we're screwed when that happens, and if you didn't, then when they converted the 3rd and 14 play after the WR slips out of two tackles convinced me. Another field goal put the game out of reach at 38-28.

Our Rebels showed heart by keeping it close and not quitting. We cut the score to 38-35 on a last second TD heave, but the clock ran out and we couldn't overcome the big bad Huskies.

First game is a fail. Although, with Utan State I won the opener and then went on a long slide, so hopefully things will be different here.

Could not stop the Baylor offense when I needed it most. Worst thing of all I lost my starting TB for 6 weeks.

Washington State Ties Game With A Huge 2nd Half, Loses In OT
    [IMG]
Washington State took on BYU in a battle of Cougars. Wash State took the lead first but the 1st half was all BYU. BYU had pulled out 27-14 lead before halftime. In the 2nd half, Wash State clawed back to tie it at 49-49 and go to OT. On the 1st play of OT, Wash State QB Jeff Tuel threw a pick 6 to BYU CB Preston Hadley for the loss.
