After a slow start the Buffs started rolling with the offense and defense. But after some key turnovers late in the game, the Bulldogs had the ball with 0:36 left in the forth quarter. With some key passes they were able to stay ahead.

The defense need to keep tight until the late of the game, and the offense can't keep turning the ball over.

    Hoosiers Win Third Straight
Pull Away from Ball State in 2nd Half
Indiana picks up their 3rd straight win this week to start 2012 at (3-0) after going score-for-score against Ball State but pulling away in the 2nd to win 41-24. The Hoosiers only led by 4 at Halftime against their MAC opponent as both teams piled up 52 points total in the first 2 quarters. Fortunately, the defense at Indiana finally came to life in the 2nd half to shutdown the Ball State offense. HB Stephen Houston and WR Kofi Hughes both had a great performances as Houston rushed for 143 yards on 33 carries with 3 TDs and Hughes caught 4 passes for 125 yards with a TD. Indiana also dominated time of possession by controlling the ball for over two-thirds of the game.
Next week, Indiana gets to celebrate their undefeated start and prepare for the Big Ten opener at the Northwestern Wildcats in two weeks.

    Minnesota 59, Western Michigan 31
For the third straight week, a Golden Gophers game started out with one team in the hole 21-0. Fortunately for Minnesota they were on the right side of the lopsided score this time. The Gophers dominated the Broncos on the ground rushing for 249 yards and six touchdowns ( a season high). The 200 yard rushing performance was the team's second in three games.
James Gillum set the pace on the ground breaking off a 65-yard touchdown run 27 seconds into the game. Gillum finished with 145 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. MarQuies Gray made a case for himself in the Heisman race by rushing for 70 yards and a career-high four touchdowns. Gray also added 225 yards and two scores through the air.
Ryan Grant was the inspired leader on defense recording an amazing 17 tackles in the win (including three tackles for a loss and a sack).
