    Hoosiers Can't Overcome Early Turnovers
    Lose 4th Straight
This week, Indiana dropped their fourth straight game to fall to (3-4) after a 3-point loss at Navy. The Hoosiers lost 2 early fumbles that led to 10 points for Navy, and the Indiana offense was not able to make up the deficit. WR Kofi Hughes had a great game with 141 yards on 4 catches and the offense performed generally well with 390 total yards. After the game, Coach Basilone made a somewhat surprising announcement when QB Cameron Coffman was named the starter after going 5/5 for 98 yards and 2 TDs.
Next week, the Hoosiers head back to Big Ten play with a road trip to Illinois.

    PURDUE 20
    OHIO STATE 17

Columbus, Ohio - Redemption is always sweet, and redemption is the sweetest tonight for Purdue K Paul Griggs. The highly-touted true freshman has missed 5 of his 10 field goal attempts this season and caused heartache amongst the Boilermakers faithful. However, with one boot he silenced the crowd at Ohio Stadium as his 38-yard field goal as time expired gave Purdue another huge victory.

The improbably victory was the third in a row for Purdue over a ranked opponent, and their third in a row against Big Ten competition. All three Purdue wins have been decided by three points or less.

Purdue fell behind early after driving into Ohio State territory twice but failing to put points on the board. The Buckeyes didn't stay off the scoreboard long as RB Carlos Hyde took an 8-yard plunge into the end zone to give Ohio State the early 7-0 lead.

The second quarter belonged to the Boilermakers as O.J. Ross caught a hitch for a first down, broke a tackle, and was off to the races for a 51-yard score. Purdue was able to put together a solid two-minute drill that was capped off by 1-yard TD reception by Raheem Mostert with one second remaining in the second period.

The Buckeyes would not go quietly despite QB Braxton Miller going off the field shaken up in the fourth quarter. Miller would return later in the drive and scrambled for a 7-yard TD that tied the game with three minutes remaining.

After both teams traded scoreless drives, Purdue found themselves with the ball at midfield and 30 seconds remaining in an effort to win the game. A 15-yard gain over the middle to WR Antavian Edison and a run up the middle by RB Akeem Shavers paved the way for Griggs' game-winning kick.

Purdue battled adversity of its own as star RB Ralph Bolden left the game with an injury in the second quarter. His replacement, Shavers, performed brilliantly, showcasing his ability to read his running lanes and catch the ball out of the backfield. Shavers finished with 12 carries for 63 yards, including 24 yards after contact, and 3 receptions for 23 yards.

The win puts Purdue atop the Big Ten Leaders division with Penn State, setting up a huge showdown with the Nittany Lions in West Lafayette in two weeks. The two programs hold two game leads in the division over Ohio State and Wisconsin.
