Trojans Outlast North Texas In Wild Offensive Shoot Out

The Trojans traveled to Denton Texas looking to take control of the Sun Belt Conference but standing in their way was Coach Tiger and his high powered Mean Green. This was a game of contrasting styles but both of which are very effective and produced a bunch of points. The Mean Green entered the game with a wide open quick hitting and quick scoring offense. The Green are lead by QB Dodge who is setting all type of of UNT and Sun Belt Records and is ranked 3rd nationally is passing yards. His main target is All American WR Brelan Chancellor who is ranked 4th nationally in receiving yards. Coach uagrad and his Troy Trojans looked to counter with their hybrid Power Riad offense which looks to control the ball and eat clock while also producing points. The Trojans are lead by HB Chris Anderson who is leading he nation is rushing.

The two teams traded blows through out the game and each time one team would score the other would counter with a score of their own. Each team played to their strength and were very successful as NT threw the ball all over the field and moved quickly for scores. Troy countered with methodical drives that mixed runs and passes and ended with the same results points on the board. The teams played even through out the game with only a couple of plays making the difference in the outcome. The turning point of the game without a doubt was a Troy interception of Dodge in the 2nd half and allowed the Trojans to get an extra score and the separation they needed to escape Denton with a win. Afterwards Coach uagrad had nothing but complements for Coach Tiger and his high powered offense. "Tiger has done a great job of getting his kids to buy into the system his running and they have some big time play-makers that make it go. They ran their offense to near perfection and it showed as we struggled to get them off the field. But I got to give our kids credit they continued to fight and not give up and finally made the plays we needed to help us secure the win." When asked about the swirling rumors of Coach uagrad being on the wish list of several BCS schools all he would say was "I don't anything about that stuff. What I do know is I am happy at Troy and I like were we are headed and I hope that eventually the voters out there would stop and look at what we have accomplished here at Troy. These kids have worked hard and deserve to be recognized for their hard work." When asked again coach responded with a quick but sharp "next question".

Great Game Tiger171 and if you ever decide to let Breland try out another school I have a spot for him. But seriously great game and thanks for waiting on me last night. I hated it took so long for me to get home from calling.

    Southern Miss 43 - Tulsa 24

The Golden Eagles improved to .500% (5-5) on the year and need just one more win to become bow eligible. They finally got some explosiveness from their team that has been lacking this year with scores from 41, 78, 54, a kick return and pick six. Next week the Golden Eagles take on 10-0 #8 UCF in a C-USA battle.
