    Tennessee 49 - Stanford 21

The stat line was insanely close. Actually, most of it was almost identical.

    Tenn - Stan
    3rd down % // 57.14 - 54.55
    Passing // 16-22 - 17-22
    Yards Per Carry // 7.5 - 7.07
    T.O.P. // 13:25 - 14:35

    -The Game Changers-
    Turnovers // 1 - 2 (both returned for TDs)
    Yards Per Pass // 12.59 - 5.45
    2nd Half Points // 35 - 0

It took Tennessee nearly 3 quarters to figure out how to stop the Stanford offense, mainly their explosive rush game, and once they did it seemed to be game over for the Cardinals. The Vols would keep pace for most of the 1st half but it seemed like Stanford would be the superior team on the day as they went into half up 21-14 in a physically dominating 1st half.

The Vols would come out ready in the 2nd half and force a 3-n-out on Stanfords first drive, a sign of things to come. From their on out the Vols would control the ball and shut down the Cardinals on offense. Early in the 4th quarter Stanford starting QB would be knocked out of the game and the Tennessee defense would capitalize, forcing their only 2 turnovers on the game, but both would go for scores.

    -Player of the Game-
UT OLB Curt Maggit - 8 solo, 6 assists, 3 tfl, sack, ff

BYU bets UNC 48-21. Two defensive scores and a nice second half by Heaps after a slow start. My internet went down when I was exiting the game, and when I finally got it back up, it wouldn't upload anything to DW.

It was a HUGE recruiting weekend in Eugene, lot of talent on hand specifically on the defensive side of the ball, and the Ducks Defense put on a show, limiting the Wildcats to only 3 points, coming on a field goal to end the first half. A week after the ducks went with a lot of 5 wide sets, Kenjon Barner responded to his semi benching exploding for 199 yards on 18 carries and a TD.

Iowa takes down #12 Nebraska by a score of 38-0! Coker rushed for 199 yards on 16 carries and a TD, Vandenberg also had a solid game this week and Freshman WR Matt Barnes scored another TD. Highlights froze so I don't have anything there for screenshots.

UCLA ends 3 game losing streak with 40-30 win over ASU. DW did not upload story. Great passing effort from the Bruins as FR. QB Brett Hundley is taking control of the offense.

Florida State sneaks out of Winston-Salem with the win over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to get back to .500 for the season with a 3-3 record. The 'Noles allowed 334 yards on the ground the most the Seminoles Defense has allowed all season and Wake Forest HB Josh Harris accounted for 266 of those yards. This marks the 4th time this season the 'Noles have allowed a rusher to gain 200+ yards on the ground. On offense, the Seminoles passing attack was grounded yet again and QB Clint Trickett was benched at the half after throwing 2 INT's on consecutive throws. Darren Bonner came in the 2nd half and didn't do anything spectacular but managed the game a bit better and threw 1 TD to help the 'Noles pull out the victory. Florida State was carried by their running game, as HB's Chris Thompson & Devonta Freeman combined for 286 yards and 4 TD's.

Fred and I had a great game. Denards speed, and my ability to control freds sprint out rushing attack with speedy SS's allowed me to get the W. When i chose the 3-3-5/4-2-5 hybrid D, this game is what i was afraid of. I really didn't know if i'd be able to stop freds consistent run game. Turns out, having the safeties play close to the line limited anything he was able to do.

On offense, Denard had several big runs and finished with just under 200 yards rushing.

Feels good to get the W over my nemesis, now only CP remains on my "People to kill list":
