(Y4) 2013 Week 2 News/Updates
Post your results here!!
Oklahoma State falls to Penn State 49-42
tough early loss G. Heisman is a whole new can a worms, last week i was smokin, then i couldnt do anything on offense and defense, got lucky to hold Georgia to FG which they missed all them but they even out yarded me. Everyone is going to get a wake up call no easy cruising through CPU games!
Damn my defense sucks. Georgia's RB embarrassed me. Pretty much threw my entire team to the ground. Nobody on my team can tackle, haha. Damn it's frustrating when you get him in the back field, but he breaks 3-4 tackles and takes it 70+ yards.
Missouri falls to Georgia 53-46. Franklin throws 4 INTs. Did we end up changing the settings? Their D-line was in on me within about 2 seconds every time. Every single one of my INTs was me getting hit as I threw it and the ball fluttering into the air.
Could be a long year for Missouri.
Yes the settings were changed....G-Unit
no biggie, I was just making sure.
My other dynasty is Heisman, just a heads up you might wanna put your tackling on conservative because the CPU will bust mad tackles, atleast your guys will just go for wrap ups, it will help
Yes we did. I posted it in the off-season chatter thread. I didnt mess with any sliders, just bumped the difficulty and lowered the threshold.
So the breaking tackles and poor blocking shouldn't be any different. By bumping from AA to Heisman just makes the CPU Logic better. The thresh hold just shows the speed difference between players better.
Yeah, the good teams should be tough IMO. I know RTP likes kicking the CPU's ass every week regardless if it's the 85' Bears but seemed to me and Funk wins were coming to easy. So we figured bumping to Hesiman would make the CPU play smarter.
It was a tough loss to Penn State, but I got exposed where I was weak....the secondary. PSU's elite speed WR's got behind my average Corners and made me pay. I moved the ball well thru the air and even ground at times...but they were a better team overall and at home...and it really helped them being home as my team was pretty rattled at times on the field.
All in all it felt pretty realistic. I had several facemasks....i thought it was overboard, but i did play aggressive several times in the game so maybe that was why. We will just see how it goes.
Shit you had 500 yards passing with Franklin....lmao
And your WR Jimmie Hunt had 8 catches for 214 yards.
Those INT's will cost you. They cost me in my game too probably as I threw a pick six that went to the house versus PSU.
Should have went with Jerz 0 Threshold sliders. i will throw it out there for him since he is sleep
Yeah I had to pass the entire game, because they would score every play, so I was coming from behind the entire game. Hunt has 99 speed and he was blowing the corner off the ball, almost every time.
Yeah, I wasn't blaming the Heisman move for my bad tackling, my linebackers, just all suck. My best LB has like a 74 I think.
Game got all weird on me and they ran one play in their hurry-up where the play call screen didn't come up for me at all, then I tried to call a timeout, didn't work, so I pressed pause and I just got the pause menu camera angle, but no menu came up. I'll take my sim and probably be 0-2, but them's the breaks. Steep hill to climb this season.
FSU Beats South Carolina in a wild one 48-41. welcome to CoC the first dual threat QB, Freshman Andrew Lacey 174 yds rushing 2 TD's and 276 yds passing and 2 TD's.
The 3-4 also paying early dividends as a pick 6 sealed the deal.
Good win. Your frosh is not the first dual threat, just the first to take off and run. I have something brewing over here in Husker land... I'm slowly getting comfortable with my pistol offense and maybe by next season I'll be ready to make the switch.
Good Win again though, very Denard Robinsonish numbers
Their up right now. I recommend y'all try them out first. Their not meant for "super" computer, just realistic play. Realistic play will bring the best out of the computer. Some tweaks can be made but I have them up on two forums. OS will probably have some feedback for me that I can relay back to this forum.
I am waiting to hear feedback from JCA on his game with #9 TCU...a team that was closely rated to his on the new feel.
Mine personally was tough, but felt pretty good. Especially the lower speed threshold. Penn State was and is a better team than me.
I am looking forward to JFunk's experience with Iowa tonight also.
In other news, on top of JFunk watching out for Violations, GSUtiger will be assisting Funk in that area too b/c his military life sometimes makes it hard to baby-sit. My solution? Put another military dude on post also to assist.
You know i'm always down to help out my military bro
Auburn beats OU 21-14. A defensive struggle for most part. Both teams forced 2 turnovers. Each team made 1 big play: Auburn 47 yard TD pass and OU had a pick 6 before half. Pretty much an even contest, with Auburn making just a few more plays when needed.
Great Game Tuco, looking forward to the rematch @Auburn next year.
Actually I was lucky it was that close, the Auburn D really put the clamps on the Sooner run game and my new QB struggled while Freeman came up with some huge plays late in the game.
This Robo QB shit is killing me right now
That was complete bullshit, nothing realistic about a a super accurate CPU QB or a HB that breaks multiple tackles every play... their goes my f*ckin' BCS Bowl bid because ain't no way I'm running the table.
Summary will be up tomorrow because I'm a little pissed right now
VT 48 Nebraska 41
VT QB: 22-31 397yds 4TD
VT HB: 15att 125yds 3TD 5broken tackles but their should of been like 7737373737 of 'em because he ran through the first 2-3 tacklers everytime.
I rather play on the old settings than this because this was not fun at all. I literally sat in shotgun most of the game out of frustration.
I guess someone doesn't like the new Heisman level....lol.
Did you record it? Cause that will truly tell. I am bout to post my recording from both week 1 and 2.
Overall take on the Heisman Settings so Far:
G-Unit Pretty Good. Will know more once I play a team below me.
JCA-Felt Good. Said maybe a few too many broken tackles.
Mizzou-I am guessing not good.
Jerz-Not Good....Robo Cop beat him.
RTP Wont like them cause he likes smashing the CPU to pieces...lmao
I like a good tough game like the rest of em, but when you have to abort your original gameplan because the CPU is doing unrealistic stuff the whole game and the user is playing catch up the whole game, it is just not enjoyable.
Play your game, then come back to me you baby.
Jerzey didnt have to play catch up apparently until the 2nd half. He was leading 21-20 going into the 3rd Qtr.
Everyone give me your feedback. We can lower the sliders appropriately (maybe base heisman??) or hell even go to Jerz's for all i care (if you guys all agree on that). But even going to Jerz's is quite dramatic from what we were currently using straight off the bat.
