USC takes out a lot of frustration on the Ole Miss Rebels, winning 37-0. The poor Gamecocks defense stepped up forcing 5 turnovers and holding Ole Miss well below 200 yards total offense along with the shut out. Giles stepped up also in the benching of Marcus Lattimore rushing for over 100 yards. Coach Petersen has yet to name a starter for next week's game but has said both guys will play.
The Florida Gators win another one in a 52-3 pounding of Kentucky. The defense forced turnovers all day and the offense was firing on all cylinders. True freshmen Brandon SUmmers missed some open receivers but in the end he did what was asked of him.
Miami hammers NC State 48-13. The 'Canes put up 502 yards of offense, 315 on the ground, led by Mike James' 153. Blake Booker was very efficient completing 10 of 16 passes for 187 and rushed for 15 yards accounting for 3 Hurricane touchdowns. Next week Miami will host Duke before they hit the toughest part of their schedule which will see them traveling to Florida State, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech in three of the four weeks following the Duke game.
