While the Auburn finished the 2013 season on a disappointing Rose Bowl loss to the USC Trojans, the Tigers garnered significant nation-wide attention for their lethal balanced offensive attack and relentless, non-stop attacking 4-2-5 defense. This combination lead to one of the biggest upsets of the season, as the Tigers kocked off the #3 ranked UNC Tar Heels at Keenan Memorial Stadium, officially ending their chance at a BCS NC bid.
This season, the Tigers boast the return of their star QB, Brad Freeman, as well as his three explosive Senior wide-outs, Antonio Goodwin, Shaun Kitchens, and Trovon Reed. The wildcard in this year's offense is Junior HB Brad Pickens, a player who didn't contribute last season until the end of the year, but looked like a workhorse in the making once he did. Auburn's ability to score points quickly and abundantly has lead to several media outlets to pick the Tigers as their dark horse candidate for the 2014 season.
