Vols bend but dont break; open season with a win

Tennessee's defense was able to force turnovers twice when Virginia Tech was inside the 5 yard line, this was ultimately the game. However, the real story of the game was the break out performance of True Freshman RB Herbert Davis who showed why he was so highly touted out of high school. Davis rushed 18 times for 99 yards + 2 TDs , caught 2 passes for 40 yards + TD, and also returned a punt for a TD but it was called back for a clipping penalty. The Vols travel to the Big House next week and hope to get revenge on a Michigan team that pounded them pretty hard in Knoxville a year ago.

Footage of Michigans locker room after the game.
We made a lot of mistakes and that cost us. Very frustrating.

Rogers looked like a complete disaster. We switched our game plan up second half and we were able to make a game of it. Missed on key tackles, missed open receivers, just overall terrible stick play. Could of won, didn't deserve to win.

Buckeyes Open Strong With Win Over #9 Texas

Ohio State had a tough task ahead of them in week 1 of the season. The Buckeyes were breaking a bunch of new starters at skill positions as well as hosting a team that has better talent. All-in-all though, they played a great game. They struggled a bit early allowing Texas to have leads of 17-7 and 24-14 but Ohio State owned the last quarter and a half. The Buckeyes were able to close the gap, take the lead, and eventually win 28-24.

Player of the Game: QB Andy McCullough - There was a lot of skepticism about whether he was worthy of being the starter and if it should be backup Chris Smith but he silenced all his doubters in this game.

Upcoming: The Buckeyes travel to in-state rival Cincinnati. The Bearcats have yet to play a game this season.

    Florida Starts Season Strong
    Florida Wins 31 - 24
QB Jacoby Brissett was near perfect in the opening game of the season vs. UCLA. He was 13-15 for 197 yards and a TD. His favorite target was Ja Juan Story who had a TD and 127 yards receiving. RB Dave Butler also got a strong start with 141 yards on 31 carries.
UCLA kept the game close with a great effort from their kick return team. Devin Lucien had two kick returns for TD's of 96 and 92 yards.

Auburn rolls out the red carpet for Mich and then slaps them around had Joe looking like this:

Not sure where he gets Phillips fixed things 4 of 16 91 yards? It is a major improvement over Rogers mich3.png
We spread the ball around, and ran it well. Defense played great.

Phillips made the throws deep, i just fucked up catching them. Had ford been controlling my guy, he'd of come down with 2-3 TDs on those bombs. But, unfortunently for my WR, I was behind the sticks and
