Michigan beats Ohio17-16 on a last second FGRuin Buckeye Chances at a NC appearance. In a game where neither offense really did much, we won on a last second FG. It was windy, snowy, and we were iced yet managed to kick a 49 yard FG to win the game. Our opening kick off was fumbled, recovered, and ran for a score. After that, we did nothing till the 4th quarter. Our defense came up big limiting hal to only 16 points keeping the game within striking distance. We got one drive where we were able to move the ball in big chunks with a change of pace hurry up offense and ended up getting a score. AFter that, hal drove into my red zone where i dialed up the heat and managed to limit him to a FG, in which he kicked to take the lead, while he was iced also. Wasn't a pretty game, but, we'll take a win over Ohio any way we can get it.
Well it was a tough game but I pulled it out. I had to pull the redshirt off my QB to get it done but we won. Great Game Guy
It was a disappointing game for Ohio State. The defense was stout the whole game and the passing game was efficient. The running game left a lot to be desired but Ohio State stuck with it to force Michigan's defense to be honest. Plus with the defense performing so well, there was never a need to be anything more than safe and efficient. Despite a fluke kickoff return at the start of the game, the Buckeyes were essentially up 13-0 so it seemed as if they were in control of the game. Then likely Heisman winner Michael Schneider broke off a 57 yard run to set up a Michigan TD to take the lead. And just like that, Ohio State's gameplan had backfired leaving some big questions and leaving Coach HAL looking forward to next season for payback.
