Notre Dame goes up early to get the edge on Oregon. Defense was playing very well and forcing turnovers giving the offense good field position. Oregon could not overcome the early mistakes and we ran out the clock.

Sloppy high scoring affair in the rain, no one could hold on to the ball and when they did, defenses were not tackling anything. UCLA shifted to an Air Raid offense but still was pretty balanced offensively, QB Brett Hundley threw for 416 and 4 scores. FR HB Geoff Jones kept the Wazzu defense off balance. The Bruins defense is learning on the with only two upperclassman on the starting 11 the growing pains continue. Bruins would grab ahold of 3 fumbles by the Cougars, 7 total if you count the ones the Bruin offense recovered on their own to put the game away.

    Bruin Game Stats
    B. Hundley 19-25 416yds 4tds 1int
    G. Jones 20car 72yds 1td, 3rec 53yds 1td
    K. Thompson 5rec 158yds 2tds
    B. Sanders 5tckls 1sack 1FF

Auburn ins over GT...they played tough but the option was not working, Dodd emerges as a true triple threat with a Punt return TD an Rec TD and a sack. Not bad for a true fresh CB

The #4 Buckeyes traveled to Iowa this week for their 3rd straight road game and to face their 3rd Top 15 opponent of the season. Much like Ohio State's last game against Tennessee, this game hinged on playing solid defense while being efficient and safe on offense. The Buckeyes were not explosive in this game but they didn't need to be. Josh Brooks was able to keep them moving forward and Andy McCullough did his best to make safe passes and that's why Ohio State won this game. The Hawkeyes did not have a single failed 3rd down conversion in this game but they turned the ball over 4 times. Some of which(mainly in the 4th quarter) gave the Buckeyes great field position and easy points.
Upcoming: The Buckeyes return home and face the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Minnesota is 1-2 with the lone win being over Mid Tenn State. This should be an easy win and Ohio State should move to 5-0 after this game.
