At some point the minn coaches fell to their knees and said "Please lord, just let it stop, let it stop!" Michigan beats minn. 73-3. We didn't want to keep scoring, but the lack of defenders anywhere near the ball caused that to happen. Only threw 9 or so passes all game. It was pathetic. On to the next one!
Highlights froze again, won't be trying it anymore. No point.

Notre Dame was able to get up early and never looked back. BAck from a freak injury last game Campell would make some huge plays to control the game and West added the air attack. The defense played well enough to win left a lot to be desired as all season. This was the last user game for the fighting who are still licking their wounds from early season heartbreak losses.

Unusual Two Byes In a Row
Florida has been hitting the asphalt for two weeks in a row trying to shore up some recruiting and get some firm commitments. Coach Crow seems to have the team back on track from a disappointing year last year. Although they have lost three games this year all have been competitive. Going into the 4th quarter all three games could have gone either way. So far this year the offense has been putting up good numbers at QB, RB and WR.

With 10 visitors on camps for the game we played very well. We are looking to get 5 commitments out of this weeks visits and move into the top 5 in recruiting. Even if we don't land 5 this week it should put us in position to sign them later.

Alabama Finally Gets a Regular Season Win over Rival Vols
Outside of the season 2 SEC Championship game upset the Crimson Tide has struggled to defeat let alone stay in many of games with the Vols the past 5 years. This years version did not look promising at the half as Bama trailed 17-7 as they were struggling to stop the vaunted Tennessee option. If not for a Vol fumble in the 2nd qtr this game could have easily been 17-0 or worse at the half. In the 3rd qtr the Crimson Tide converted another Vol fumble into a Cutler TD and pulled within 3 at 17-14 but the Vols responded and pushed the lead back to 10 going into the 4th qtr with a 22 yard TD pass. In the final qtr Alabama got another Cutler TD to pull with 3 again at 24-21. The two teams traded possessions when Alabama got their last chance of the game with less than 3 minutes remaining. Alabama converted a big 3rd down and was able to convert a 4th down desperation pass for 56 yards and the go ahead TD. But the Vols were not finished as they marched back into scoring territory as the clock wound down. But the Crimson Tide defense finally stiffened and stopped a 4th down option play to seal the win.
It was a great battle and a great game by the Vols and Coach ChaoticUT.

Great write up Guy. It was a hell of a 4th quarter for Bama. On the last drive they converted a 3rd and 15 on a screen play. Then I was able to knock out his starting QB just for his back to come in a throw a 56 yard bomb on 4th down for the go ahead score, and ultimately the game.

Buckeyes Struggle Early But Beat Purdue For Win #7

Purdue came out of the gate making big plays offensively and playing some stiff defense. It took just 3 plays for the Boilermakers to take a 7-0 lead and that lead would last until 6 seconds were remaining in the 1st half. On that play, QB Andy McCullough hit WR Craig Bryant on a 1-handed TD catch in the rain to make it 10-7 at the half. Ohio State got the ball back to start the 3rd and WR Devin Smith would return it about 55 yards. Then on the 1st offensive play of the half, McCullough connected with Bryant again for a 45 yard TD pass. In just 20 seconds of clock time, Purdue went from up 7-3 to down 17-7. This is when OSU's running game and defense really started to show up as Purdue was getting shut down and the Buckeyes took control of the game. After getting up 24-7, Ohio State scaled it back and cruised to a 24-14 victory.
Player of the Game: Craig Bryant - His 2 huge plays were back breakers for Purdue. They were unable to respond.
Upcoming: The Buckeyes get another tough game. Ohio State travels to Wisconsin for their 5th top 15 opponent through 8 games. The #8 Badgers one loss came against Michigan and they were blown out. Ohio State will hope for the same result.
