Last Season: (10-3) Overall, (2-3) versus Oklahoma All-Time

Offense: Quarterback Bryan Johnston Jr. & WR Casey Hill did their recruiting trip to OSU together and came in as true freshmen together 4 years ago.....and now their going to leave together.....and as one of the best QB/WR Duo's in College Football History. These two make this team go....let's cut the shit, without these two this football program would not be where it's at today, competing for the Big 12 South. Up front on the O-Line the Cowboys lost some good seniors last year. So the big onus will be wheither or not the young offensive line can give time for Johnston Jr. to find his receivers down field. If so, be prepared for an offensive-packed season!!

Defense: The Cowboys defense last year was pedestrian at best. Coming back with their 3-4 Base Defense for the 6th straight year the Cowboys are starting to get some depth for the true scheme they want. The Nose Guard is anchored by massive Charles Jones and he is a beast at stuffing the A&B Gaps. At end we have excellent size and strength with Roger Callahan & Tyrell Murphy. The Line-backing Corps is young, but this is a group that will get to grow/develop together over the next 3/4 years. MLB Josh Carter returns to lead the group and is an excellent tackler and sideline-to-sideline runner. In the secondary Big 12 AA Zac Bryd returns to lead the corners as a true sophomore. Matt Lucus will man the other corner spot and finally is getting his starting shot. True Frosh FS Johnathan Green will be all over the secondary and on the field at all times, either lined up at FS or in the Nickle Corner role. He has just been spectacular as a true frosh and a big-time recruit that signed in the fall. Junior Strong Safety Jason Williams returns and will be the "QB" once again for the secondary. Jason hardly ever is out of position and is always good for a big-hit when it's needed most.

Special Teams: Kicker Todd Thomas will be this years kicker and has a solid leg. Punter Jared Magum is a young red-shirt freshmen that will have his struggles early but should develop into an excellent field position punter.
