#22 Florida State traveled to their coach's alma-mater in Columbus to take on the #4 Buckeyes. Both teams came out ready to play, sustaining long scoring drives on the first two possessions of the game. FSU took a lead on a drive late in the first and never gave it up, capped by a nice sweep with a great cut by Watts. The play of the game was on a WR screen to J.J. Cunningham late in the second quarter... I was just looking to see if I could get a nice chunk of yards and try to get in FG range, but Cunningham broke it 87 yards with ridiculous blocking from the WR core. The game was completely even, and the second half was dominated by defense. OSU tacked on 7 late on a great throw and catch on a seam route. Both teams were run oriented, but the difference in the game was the screen to Cunningham, 10 sacks by the FSU defense, and 2 key interceptions on OSU scoring opportunities. Watts had 72 yards on 17 carries, and Tony Hart played a much better game, completing 9 of 13 for 182 and 2 TDs with 1 INT. Cunningham was the go-to man, catching 5 balls for 163 yards and a TD. Great game, HAL9100. Really looking forward to continuing this at the Doak next year.

Both teams put together pretty much even first halves with Notre Dame scoring in the final seconds of the half to tie the game. However things would change for Miami in 2nd half because of turnovers. THe Irish were able to drive down and score on their first possesion of the half. Then a few minutes later picked up fumble by Miami 's QB and took it to the house for a 14 point lead. Very next drive for the Hurricanes ended with another fumble by the QB but we only scored a FG giving us a 17 point lead going into the 4th. Miami managed to score a TD to trim the lead but Notre dame answered right back 3 plays later and sealed the game.
