    2016 Clemson Tigers Preview

"Give me 110% or keep your filthy hands off of my rock"

The Tigers will begin their 2016 season with a lot of new faces on the field after losing most of their starters to graduation. One starter that will be returning is QB Michael Hall. Last season, Hall was a great dual-threat beating opponents with his arm and his legs. Hall will need to take the next step to lead this young team if they hope to repeat as ACC Atlantic Division champions. After losing star HB Leon Britton and most of their offensive line from last season, the Tigers will be implementing a new offensive scheme designed to get the ball in the hands of their playmakers. Hall will be looking for help from his favorite receiver Darryl Faulk. Faulk put up solid numbers last season as #3 WR on the depth chart behind Jerry Miller and Freddie Reese. Faulk will be asked to have a much larger role in the offense this season without those two. Although Clemson has decided to run an up-tempo offense, they are determined to still run the ball with HB Josh White.

The Tiger defense will be led by strong safety Clint Bush. After making the switch to a 3-3-5 base defense in the offseason, Bush should be a very important factor to the success of Clemson's defense this season in pass coverage, run stopping, and pass rushing. After Bush, there are a lot of question marks on this Clemson defense. With such a young team, the Tigers will need to have strong game plans every week. This is a unit that will develop experience throughout the season and should improve with time.

The Clemson Tigers are ranked #24 in the Preseason Coaches' Poll and are the favorites to repeat as ACC Atlantic division champions. They will play a key game in week 11 in Tallahassee against the Seminoles in a matchup that could decide who goes to the ACC Championship game.
