    2016 Missouri Tigers

The Missouri Tigers looked to last year as rebuilding campaign after losing several stars in 2014 and coming in with one of the youngest teams in the nation. However, coming together as a team they left off where they finished in 2014 winning the Big 12 North for the second consecutive year and winning the Cotton Bowl.

Offense: The Missouri Tigers were looking for a QB to replace the string of QBs that had led to Missouri being referred to as QB U. After the departure of 4 year starter James Franklin the Tigers looked to another Freshman Anthony Hargrove to take over the reigns. More of a true pocket passer than any QB Missouri had had in the last decade Hargrove immediately adopted the offense and had an all-american season as a freshman. The offense returns all of it's starters from last year except in the half back position where the top 3 from last year's depth chart departed. It is up to a freshman yet again in Brad Ford to take the reigns and lead the Mizzou backfield in 2016.

Defense: The Missouri defense was very young and very vulnerable last year. Although they were opportunistic forcing a lot of turnovers they were often out of position and the defensive line was consumed in big games against Oklahoma. With the help of transfer Seth Hester the defensive line should not be quite the pushover it was last year. On top of adding an all-american caliber DT the Tigers defense returns starters in every position aside from SS.

Outlook: Missouri should once again contend for a big 12 north title and possibly a BCS birth, but they look to be a year away from being in contention for the National Title hunt.
