Overtime Thriller in PAC-12 Title Game
USC and Oregon squared off for the 3rd time in less than a year in Season 7 PAC-12 Title game. Last year USC defeat Oregon to win the title and this year during the regular season USC won a defensive struggle as they two team meet in LA. Going into the Season 7 title game everyone was expecting another defensive battle as both teams and coaching staff were very familiar with what each team likes to do. But in the end this was a game of momentum swings and a couple lucky breaks at the end. USC was looking to do a better job offensively than they did in the regular season versus the Ducks and it did not take long for the Trojan offense to respond. On the 2nd play of the game QB Jones found WR Gary Thomas in the right flats and they connected for a 83 yard TD strike and a early 7-0 lead. Following a couple sacks from the Trojan defense the Ducks were forced to punt from their own end zone and Gary Thomas returned the kick 43 yards to the Oregon 6 yard line to setup the USC offense. Three plays later FB Sean Hunter slammed across from 2 yard outs and increased the Trojan lead to 14-0. Oregon responded with a nice drive but the Trojan defense stiffened inside the Red Zone and forced a 21 yard FG. The Trojan offense came roaring back and drove the length of the field and capped it off with a 12 yard TD pass from Jones to HB Andre Boyd to increase the lead to 21-3. The game stayed this way until late in the half with Oregon QB found WR Andre Gore open for a 24 yard TD and cut the lead to 21-10 going into the half.
In the 3rd Qtr the Trojans forced an punt on the Ducks first possession and the Trojans began a methodical march for what they hoped would be the knock out blow. But the Ducks stiffened as the Trojan moved into scoring range and forced USC to settle for a 31 yard FG and a 24-10 lead going to into the 4th Qtr. In the final Qtr the Ducks offense went from being contained by the Trojans to red hot and unstoppable. The Ducks cut the lead to 24-17 when QB Reed connected with WR Wright on a 29 yard TD pass. The Oregon defense came out inspired and compounded with the fact that the Trojan offense not wanting to make a mistake the result was short lived drive that ended in a Trojan punt. It did not take long for the Ducks to advantage of the momentum swing as Reed found WR Gore wide open again this time for a 63 yard TD and with less than 2 minutes to go it was tied at 24 all. The Trojan offense which had moved the ball well all game could not generate a first down and after a couple incomplete passes from the Ducks the PAC-12 title game headed to OT. In the OT the Trojans were on offense first and reclaimed the lead at 31-24 when Jones found TE Tompkins open for a 15 yard TE pass. On the Ducks possession they drove inside the 10 and on 3rd and goal one of the biggest misses of the game occurred. The Oregon QB had a WR wide open in the end zone but he threw to the right and the WR turned left and missed on the potential tying score. On 4th down Reed found a WR open in the back of the end zone but a great play by the Trojan safety stripped the ball from the receivers hand as he caught it and as the ball fell to the turf the Trojans were able to hold on for the 31-24 win and their 2nd PAC-12 title.
It was a great game by Sabo and a awesome comeback. I now see why everyone wants these 6'-7" WR who can fly. I could not cover Gore to save my life and to Sabo credit he found him every time he was open.

Well the SEC Champ game was well worth the wait!! As me and UT faced off for the 2nd time of the year. The 1st meeting ended 24-17 Tenn, The Tigers were determined not to let it happen again but it was far from easy but we won31-24 . Cant even remember how it all went down all in know is I turned the ball over at key times early and then he turned it over at key times later. It was wild I tried to play bend but dont break D and it paid off a few times. My QB fumbled the ball inside the 20 one time then again on a sack. My DB's played great getting some key INTS. Anyway it was a great game and well played ChaoticUT .
