    Week 1
    Michigan: 28
    Texas A&M: 34

Coach nrg_qbz's first game with the Michigan Wolverines were full of high's and low's. In the end, the inexperienced Wolverines continued their losing ways from last year (when they went 3-9) and allowed Texas A&M to score 3 straight TD's, including the winning one in OT. "We have to learn to close out games. Give credit to the Aggies...we let our guards down while they continued to battle. Coach ChaoticUT has a fine program that's going to go far with him at the helm."

The Wolverines ran the spread option, but was flustered all day on the ground, running for a mediocre 1 yard on 17 carries. "One yard...that is embarassing," said RB Mario Jones. Texas A&M jumped to an early 7-0 lead, but Michigan would respond with 3 straight TD's before an Aggie TD-run with 45 seconds left in the first half made it 21-14.

The second half saw Michigan jump up to a 28-14 lead as MLB Daniel Davis scooped up a fumble on a punt return and took it to the house. Then inexperienced kicked in, as Michigan looked baffled and confused on offense, not sure if they should continue to run the ball for zero yard gains or to pass the ball. Three straight times they ran the ball on 1st down and was faced with 2nd/3rd and longs. Needless to say, they punted every possession. The Aggies responded by scoring 2 TD's to take the game to OT.

Unable to move the chains again, the Wolverines missed a 48 yard FG kick. On the Aggies first play, they ran an HB screen for the TD. "This loss does not define our season. We will be better for this. I've seen what we are capable of and will change our game plan accordingly. Expect us to be more of passing team...a great passing team," said coach_nrg_qbz.

    Cincinnati: 26

After one week to go over their recent loss and to improve upon their game, the Wolverines have a lot to be excited about. Coach nrg_qbz mentioned that the team will throw more confidently and boy did they ever. QB Dane Anderson threw for 6 TD's and ran for another one, as the Vols took Cincinnati to the woodshed. The game was a high-scoring offensive affair, with Michigan taking a 28-27 lead with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. However, the Wolverines would step up the defensive effort while pouring on the offensive onslaught, scoring 4 straight TD's to put the game away. "Our defense came through when it mattered and I was able to put the ball in my receivers hands' and let them do what they do," said QB Anderson. "Hopefully we can build on this victory and continue to get some more W's."

    Week 3
    Michigan: 42
    Boise State: 20

Michigan continued their brutal out-of-conference schedule with a match-up against the #2 team in the land, Boise State. The Wolverine's would strike first and end up leading 21-14 at the half. The score was a lot closer than it seems, as QB Dane Anderson was picked off twice. The Bronco's would capitalize and score on the ensuing drive both times. Holding onto a slim lead, the Wolverine's looked to be in trouble as their starting QB went down with an injury. The Bronco's were hitting Anderson all day and would finally take him out of the game on a clean hit up the middle. Backup Justin Garrison stepped in and played exceptionally well, completing 9 of 14 passes for 154 yards and 3 TD's. "Justin did an amazing job, but we are not surprised. He's been doing this in practice all year," said Anderson.

Even though the Wolverine's lost the turnover battle, their defense came up with the big plays when necessary, forcing a fumble and an INT on key drives by the Bronco's. The MVP of the game went to WR Justin Anthony, who was flying all over the field on his way to 4 TD catches. "Did he just set a Michigan record for receiving TD's in a game? Wow, that was quite a performance," said coach nrg_qbz. "Hopefully we can rest up during this bye-week and come back with the momentum we have building."

    Michigan: 57
    Penn State: 54

One week after their heartbreaking loss to Notre Dame, the Michigan Wolverines squared off against another tough opponent in Penn State. Bombarded by the fans for having a great offensive team but a terrible defensive gameplan, the Wolverines added more fuel to the fire by allowing an incredible 54 points. For most teams that is a score that is impossible to overcome. However, Michigan has their ace in the hole and it's QB Dane Anderson. The senior threw for 7 TD's and only 1 INT while leading the Wolverines on one clutch drive after another. "Our defense needed some help and I'm more than happy to oblige," said Anderson.

Michigan would jump to a 35-24 lead at halftime and looked to control the game in the second half, except PSU had other plans. RB John Garrett broke through for a 75 yard TD run. Anderson would then throw his only pick of the game, leading to another PSU score. Then the floodgates really opened, as PSU sacked Anderson and forced a fumble that would be returned 60 yards for the score. 21 unanswered points by the Nittany Lions sent the home crowd into a frenzy. "The momentum was on their side and it was impossible to hear anything with all the cheering," said coach nrg_qbz. "I told our boys to get ready to silence the crowd."

The Wolverines would storm back to take a 49-48 lead with just a couple of minutes left in the game. Just like before, RB John Garrett broke off another ridiculous 70 yard TD run that completely stunned Michigan. Down 5 with 2 minutes remaining, Anderson drove the Wolverines into PSU territory. Disaster would strike as a hard hit took Anderson out for the rest of the game. Backup QB Garrison would enter the game and lead the comeback of his career, as he found TE Cody in the back of the endzone with 36 seconds left. A 2point conversion made a FG game. All hope would end for PSU as they would be picked off on their second play of the final drive. "Hat's off to PSU, they played a helluva game," said coach nrg_qbz." "I would love to enjoy this game, but I have to figure out what to do with our defense."

***Their QB completed 23 out of his first 24 passes and finished 28/31. Their running backs gained almost 300 yards on the ground against me. Seriously, this game was completely ridiculous as my defenders might as well just rolled over and played dead.

In what was supposed to be a highly contested rivalry turned into a laugher, as the Wolverines pummeled the Spartans right from the opening kickoff. Star QB Dane Anderson completed 11 of 14 passes for 124 yards and 2 TD's while his backup Justin Garrison completed 12 of 18 passes for 266 yards and 2 TD's as well. RB Mario Jones had one of his best game of the season, rushing for 110 yards on 22 carries. "This was a complete effort on both sides of the ball. Our team is getting better as the season goes along. Our focus right now is to win the Big 10," said coach nrg_qbz. "We have a lot of seniors that we want to send out the right way. They are playing exceptionally well."
