Week 1- Texas A&M 34 - Michigan 28 (OT)
It was a sloppy first game but the Aggies were able to narrowly escape with the win. Sporting a new offensive and defensive scheme the Aggies looked a bit "rusty". Missed tackles, dropped balls, missed blocks; it was ugly but still counts the same.
Week 2- Texas A&M 20 - Arkansas 14
This game had SEC written all over it. Both teams rely heavily on the running game and both defenses were stingy. Arkansas made a late 4th quarter comeback but it was to little to late.
Week 3- #20 Texas A&M 45 - #5 USC 41
The marquee win of the early season. USC scored on their first run of the game but the Aggies never gave up. With their starting RB getting injured early A&M went to their passing attack, which won the game for them. USC would make a late run but A&M would run away with it.
Week 4- #17 Texas A&M 39 - Pittsburgh 21
The Aggies are able to win a 4th in a row; but still need to improve. A&M only converted 33% of their 3rd downs, and turned the ball over twice in yet another very sloppy game. The Aggies are still looking to jell more on offense and defense as a pretty bad Pittsburgh team was able to give them a run for their money.
Week 5- #12 Texas A&M 49 vs Kansas State 35
Aggies notch first Big 12 win. Freshman QB Tyler Holiday continues to become more of a leader and focal point of the offense each week. Holiday completed 26-30 for 282 + 3 scores - int, while rushing for 43 + a score.
Week 6- #10 Texas A&M 41 - Iowa State 12
Iowa State looked outmatched from the first play. The Aggies looked noticeably faster, strong, and more physical on both sides of the ball. Holiday passed for 330 + 2 scores, while 5 backs had +10 yards rushing and 2 went over 80 yards rushing. Senior CB Justin Quinn had a big day on defense intercepting 2 passes on the night.
Week 7- #6 Texas A&M 21 - #19 Oklahoma State (ChildPlease9) 28
@ChildPlease9 I knew you were cheating! Look at the scoring summary, last touchdown... you had a ghost at qb damnit!!! lol
Week 8- #12 Texas A&M 49 - Colorado 28
The Aggies scored 21 points in the first quarter, and 14 in the second... enough said. Now they just need to learn to score on good teams.
lol that's your TD anyway...somehow it got attributed to be in the summary
Week 9- Texas A&M 39 - Baylor 25
The Aggies put up 600 yards of total offense but still struggled to get by the Bears. Texas A&M fell behind by 19 points in the first quarter and didnt regain the lead till the 4th quarter. A 22 point 4th quarter led to the greatest comeback for the Aggies this season.
Week 10- Texas A&M 17 - Oklahoma 23
The Aggies let the game slip late as they past on a field goal opportunity that would have put the game into reach. The Aggies struggled on 3rd down once again (11% 3rd down efficiency) which was ultimately their demise. Texas A&M needs to find a way to win and pull away at the end of these close games.
Week 11- Texas A&M 52 - Texas Tech 32
The Aggies were able to let the flood gates open on offense for the first time this season. Feeling the pressure before the game to try and keep pace with a high powered Tech offense, the Aggies struck quick and struck often. A&M pulled away early and let the B team do all the clean up late in the game.
Week 12- Bye
Week 13- #11 Texas A&M 23 - #23 Texas 20
The Aggie's defense played their best game of the year only giving up 20 points to a very talented Texas squad. For the A&M offense they were able to drive the ball at will but were unable to score once they got into the red zone. Great defense, coupled with ball control on offense, won the game for the Aggies.
Bowl Week- Texas A&M 26 - USC 19
