USC Wins Event Shortened Game Against Oregon
USC got the win over Oregon when early in the 4th Qtr leading 10-0 and with with USC at the Oregon 15 yard line facing a 3rd and 2 the powers at EA decided that was enough. While trying to call their next play the teams began to experience several "please wait" message from the game before connection between the two opponents was lost. After several text messages it was decided to call the game at that point. It was disappointing for both teams as the game to that point was a defensive slug-fest.
Coach Sabo had his Oregon defense prepared to stop the Trojan ground game and throughout most of the 1st half neither team could mount much of a threat. The Ducks drove to midfield a couple times before the Trojan defense stiffened along with the aid of some untimely drops from the Duck receivers. The Trojans put together one good drive in the 2nd Qtr only to see it end in the red zone when the Ducks forced a fumble and recovered to kill the threat. The only score of the 1st half came after the Trojans forced a punt from deep in Oregon territory and were able to move into FG range and connected on a 54 yard FG as the half ended. The 2nd half was very similar to the 1st half except this time the Trojans were able to convert their 2nd trip into the red zone into a short TD pass and increased their lead to 10-0. The Trojans once again after forcing a Oregon punt drove into the red zone where they faced a 3rd and 2 from the Ducks 15 when the game lost connection.
It was a great game by Sabo and an outstanding defensive battle. It was fun playing SEC style football in the PAC-12.

Bye week. Working on closing some of the nations best that want to face a real tough schedule, and compete for national championships annually.

In a match up of two of the SEC powerhouse teams, this one was as advertised.
The Vols were able to strike first late in the 1st quarter on a 9 yard slant that capped off a nice long drive by Tennessee. Auburn would answer right back, returning the favor of a long sustained drive with a 11 yard TD run. After a long hail marry right before half, the teams would go in to the locker room tied at 7-7.
The Vols would come out in the 2nd half a little more relaxed and a little more open on offense. This seemed to pay off quick as they were able to guess right on aggressive defensive playcall by Auburn and take the middle screen 82 yards for the score. Once again Auburn would answer right back, again in similar fashion as the Vols. The Tigers would catch the Vols in nickle package and run right at it for a 45 yard TD scamper. 14-14 heading into the 4th.
Both teams would throw interceptions in this quarter at extremely crucial parts of the game. The Vols would cap off another long drive with a 2 yard HB dive. 21-14 Vols. Auburn would try to answer back with more of the power run game, which was working extremely well, except for a crucial 4th & 2 late in the game. The Vols would send the house and stop the Tigers short. Both teams would trade field goals but the Vols were still able to escape with the win. gg Fred Limbo

    ALABAMA 36 MISSOURI 31

Missouri moved the ball at will on Alabama during the first half. Alabama cut the lead to 24 to 10 near the end of the half and was hoping to take a two TD deficit into half but Missouri had other plans. Missouri proceeded to move the ball efficiently down field just like they had the entire half and scored to go into halftime with a 31 to 10 lead. Alabama's defense made some key adjustments at the half and blanked Missouri the rest of the way and came away with the victory by tossing a 16 yard TD pass to Ingram with 8 seconds left to snatch the victory from Missouri.

Armstrong was 25-35 for 384 yards and 2 TD's while Sims ran for 47 yards and 2 TD's on 17 carries. Gschwend had 10 catches for 138 yards, Ingram 6 for 98 yards and 2 TD's and Brewer 6 for 104 yards.

Ohio State Opens Big 10 Play With Vengeance Over Michigan State
    [IMG]

Last year, Michigan State ripped Ohio State apart and their RB ran for 484 yards. This year, it was all Ohio State as they never trailed in the game and had an offensive explosion in the air and on the ground. It also gave the Buckeyes their 1st conference win of the season as they aim to return to the top of the Big 10.
