Florida started off hot and took a commanding 35-10 lead into the half, essentially ending the game. The Commodores attempted to make a comeback, but fell short 45-36.

South Carolina gave #12 Florida all they could handle. South Carolina jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Florida narrowed the gap to 14-7 and almost tied it up before the half, until they pulled a Leon Lett:

Touchback, South Carolina ball. The half ended at 17-7. Florida could not narrow the gap in the 3rd quarter, and it was 24-14. Florida had the ball down 31-28 with less than 2 minutes remaining, and finished the comeback.

    Florida Falls in Fiesta Bowl

Florida tasted the stench of defeat at the hands of Kansas in their final game.
Offense ruled the day with each quarterback leading their offenses to 500 total yards each. Kansas took a 21-17 lead into the half and a 28-24 into
the final quarter. Florida was stuffed at the goal line and Kansas took over at
    the 2 yard line:

Florida then took the ball down the field to score a TD, making it 33-28
Florida. Kansas scored and then had a 2 point conversion to lead 36-33.
They traded TDs again and Florida had the ball down 43-40 with 1:40 to go.
They drove quickly down to the 20 yard line when they lined up on second
    down:

    43-40 final.
