Both teams scored tds on their opening drive and the 1st quarter ended at 7-7. The Irish were able to squeak in a fg in the 2nd and take a 10-7 lead in at halftime. Auburn would score on the opening possession of the 2nd half but was quickly answered by Campbell on a 83 yd td scamper 17-14. Auburn would then take the lead back early in 4th on a rushing td. Once again Campell put the team on his back and snatched the lead back with a 40 yd td run 24-21. The biggest play of the game was on Auburns next drive when SS Brewer makes huge pick giving the Irish the ball late in the game. Mama there goes that man again Campell breaks another for 61 yards and seals the game for the Iri sh. Next up is Rival Michigan.

    USC Upends Miami 34-20
The Trojans began their second game of 3 straight game vs the state of Florida. This week the Trojans welcomed Coach OnIowa and his Hurricanes to the Coliseum. The game started slow as the defenses took control while each offense was trying to figure out what would work. The Hurricanes struck first with when a nice drive died out just inside scoring range and Miami settled for a 41 yard FG and an early 3-0 lead. Th Trojans responded on the ensuing drive as they marched 80 yards and capped it off with a 1 yard plunge from FB Davis to grab the lead 7-3 early in the 2nd Qtr. After forcing a punt the Trojans increased their lead when HB Perry Wright went 63 yards for the TD on a HB draw. The Hurricanes responded with a nice time consuming drive that ended with 6 secs left when FB Price scored from yard out on 4th down and cit the USC lead to 14-10 at the half. In the 3rd Qtr USC took the opening kickoff and marched into Miami territory bu was forced to settle for 43 yard FG and increased their lead to 17-10. The Trojans forced a Miami punt after a couple first downs and extended their lead to 24-10 when Wright took a stretch play 50 yards for the TD. What ensued had to the strangest play I have ever been involved in. The Hurricane QB dropped back and when he could not find an open receiver he headed up field. After picking up the first down and before he could slide the USC CB Wilson hit the Hurricane QB and forced a fumble. Both players fell to the ground and the all laid next to the QB. The USC CB finally got to his feet after what seemed like 30 minutes spun around and finally picked up the loose ball. He raced 35 yards for the TD and gave USC a commanding 31-10 lead. Early in the 4th Qtr Miami cut the lead to 31-17 when they scored on an 18 yard TD pass. The Trojans finally got some time consuming 2nd half offense going and extended their lead to 34-17 on a 45 yard FG with 1:33 remaining. The Hurricanes scored connected on a 52 yard FG with 36 seconds left and after the failed on side attempt the Trojans ran out the clock for the 34-20 win.
It was a great game and well played by OnIowa. I look forward to the trip Coral Gables next season.

We were down 17-7 after the first half. We had 5-6 penalties, maybe more, including a call back on a return TD. I was wondering when my D was going to step up and finally they did. First half i was stubborn with my option only to not really do anything. After half one, i decided i was just going to punch it up the gut, and thats what i did. We ran the ball up the middle and my half back is 98 BTK, 99 TRK so he essentially is a pin ball and bounces around and falls forward. usually getting several yards at a time. Second half we got three interceptions, one of which we returned for a TD, and that was the difference.
    We're coming for you capp34 !!!
