Hokies hit the recuiting trail hard after a huge Week 1 win
Well Ford was a little over match in this one as Auburn Powers past Clemson in Coach Fords 1st game a coach there. We housed the opening KO to set the tone for the game. Auburn jumped out to a 17-0 lead. Fords lack of ability to convert on 3rd downs hurt him going 1/11. Being behind he was forced to pass alot and lacked a running game. The dynamic duo at RB Hall and Arrington accounted for most of our offense. Great Game Ford.
USC Weathers Hurricane in Miami Coming off the week 1 win over Florida State, the Trojans traveled to South Beach to face OnIowa Miami Hurricanes. The two teams battled throughout the first half with neither team able to gain a decided advantage. The only scoring on the 1st half came on a 33 yard FG by Miami. The Trojans thought they had executed the big momentum changing play when they returned the 2nd half kickoff for a TD, only to be disappointed to see a yellow flag on the field. USC took their first lead of the game (7-3) late in the 3rd Qtr when Murray connected with WR Barrow on a15 yard TD strike. The two teams continued to battle until with just over 2 minutes remaining Miami connected on a 79 yard TD strike and reclaimed the lead at 10-7. USC took the kick off and began marching down the field while using up the clock. The Trojan drive finally ended with 5 seconds remaining when Murray found All-American TE Robinson open in the end zone for the game winning score. It was a great game by OnIowa and he has got some serious talent and speed on that Hurricane team.
With an unexpected trip to south bend FSU falls short. The first half was pretty much defensive battle as both teams struggled to get anything going. Fsu took a 10-7 lead into the half. The second half was pretty much all Notre Dame as the fighting Irish would put up 21 unanswered points to close out the game.
