Late 4th Quarter Rally Gives Hokies 10th Win Of Season
    [IMG]
Returner Jayron Hosley returned his first kick of the season at a big moment to swing the game.

    MIAMI, FLORIDA
-- For fans that love to see offensive firepower, the first and third quarter were not for you, but in the second and fourth quarter Miami and Virginia Tech displayed an erupting offensive volcano. Miami played the Hokies close until Va Tech scored 21 straight unanswered points to seal the game. Every touchdown that Miami scored was immediately answered by the Hokies as they scored on a Ryan Williams 75-yard scamper in the 2nd quarter and in the 4th they scored on a 92-yard kick return from Jayron Hosley. The score is misleading as the game was in doubt until the ending by the Hokies. Ryan Williams was the story of the game as he once again eclipsed the 100-yard mark and scored 2 touchdowns off long runs. Defensive End Steven Friday gave the Hurricane offensive tackles fits all game and had his biggest performance of the year with 4 sacks.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor had one of his better games as he made few mistakes and made the defense pay when his receivers got open. Wide Receiver Jamal Boykin was undoubtedly his favorite target Saturday as they connected 4 times and once for a touchdown. "We just gotta keep plugging, the ACC is tough, but we set our goals high" said Ryan Williams. Miami's crowd was loud all game long and caused some difficulties for the Tech team. "That is a tough place to win, yet we still managed to finish them off at the end" said Coach Beamer. Defensively, the Hokies got back on track after having 3 weeks of poor play, though standout QB Jacory Harris had an efficient day through the air completing 28 passes. "Our goals are becoming more attainable each week, now we have to host Virginia who appears to be a program on the rise and a future force in the ACC. There is no doubt we will be ready as we circled this game as a huge momentum builder for the post-season" exclaimed player of the game Steven Friday.

Offensive Player of the Game: RB Ryan Williams, 15 carries, 180 yards, & 2 touchdowns
Defensive Players of the Game: DE Steven Friday 6 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble, & 1 fumble recovery touchdown

How big of a sigh of relief did you breathe when you returned that kickoff for a touchdown after Miami tied it up in the 4th quarter?

    Congrats.

No Kidding, my first return ever in the game and it came at the best time. I was definitely concerned since Harris was killing me if I wasn't sacking him so I knew I would need a killer drive but the return put me at ease. Then I just blew it out of the water after that.

5 different players ran the ball and 6 different players caught passes in the fruitless offensive effort by the Clemson Tigers today. The only points scored were from 3 field goals by Clemson Kicker Richard Jackson. Jackson also missed 3 field goals, bouncing one off the bottom crossbar and missing two others wide right.

Luckily for the Tigers, their defense was absolutely unstoppable today, holding Wake Forest to less than 200 yards and 0 points. The perfect symbolism for how dominating Clemson's defense was today is demonstrated in the following clip, one of the nastiest hits you'll ever see:

Undefeated and #1 ranked Florida hosted in state rival FAU in a tune-up game before travelling to arch-rival Florida St.

The starters would only need one half to prove that FAU had no business being on the same field with the SEC East champs. The Gators had no issue's moving the ball against the inferior competition. Florida scored early and often in the half. John Brantley looked sharp throwing TD passes to TE Jordan Reed and WR Chris Rainey. Rainey would add a rushing TD and Emmanuel Moody would hit paydirt for the 15th time on the season.

The Gators second string would play the whole second half. 3rd string back Mike Gillislee would have a monster half including a 42yd TD rush. QB Jeff Burton also added a 58yd TD rush to end the Gator scoring.

John Brantley would be named player of the game. He went 14-17 for 236yds and 2 TD's in his one half of play. Moody had 60yds on the ground on just 9 carries with a TD. Gillislee ended up with 122yds on 13 carries with the one long TD. Omarius Hines and Deonte Thompson paced the Gator receivers with 4 catches each with 76 and 68yds respectively. Rainey continued his big year with 3 catches for 53 yds with a TD through the air and one on the ground.

Atlanta, Georgia: The Yellow Jackets bounced back in a big way after their home loss last week to Miami with a 35-14 thumping of Duke.

The team only threw the ball twice the whole game and rushed for 370 yards on 46 carries (8/ypc). Everyone got in the action during this game as the 1st team offense was rested from about 2 minutes left in the first quarter until the end of the game. HB Embry Peeples showcased his blazing speed with 138 yards on 12 carries.

It's a shame the team will be changing their offense for next season as they are just starting to figure out this play book.

This game was crazy. For the entire first half I couldn't do anything. Couldn't score and couldn't stop them from scoring. I was down 28-7 at half time. Second half came and more of the same. End of the third quarter 35-7. Thats when things turned around. I aired it out in the 4th quarter and managed to come all the back with a chance to tie. Two minutes remaining and I've got a chance to tie it. I'm gonna stick with what I've down the entire quarter and that's let Ryan Mallett sling it all over the field. After one first down the drive stalls and I'm stuck looking at a 4th and inches. I bring in the goal line set and call HB Sting. Wingo takes the hand off shakes one defender in the backfield and tries to truck a linebacker for the first down. The linebacker wasn't buying it and stopped him cold. The historic Arkansas comeback attempt was over.

    Ryan Mallett - 19-39, 436 yards, 3 tds, 1 int
    Ronnie Wingo - 14 carries, 41 yards, 1 td
    Joe Adams - 4 catches, 113 yards, 1 td
    DJ Williams - 4 catches, 98 yards
    Jarius Wright - 3 catches, 60 yards, 1 td

This loss eliminates me from SEC Championship contention entirely, my chances were already slim but this puts an end to my championship run.

Wow... Definitely did not show up to this game. Guys played like they were a High School JV squad. I mean my guys must have set picks on each other on his short crossing routes roughly 10 times on second and third downs. I could only save 5 of them... Thought someone might get a laugh at it.

    Frustrating loss.
