    Year 1, Week 13

Athens, GA: The Yellow Jackets came to play today in Athens, and won their annual matchup against rival Georgia. A back and forth game was tight throughout and things were tied going into the 4th quarter at 20 a piece.

That is when Joshua Nesbitt and the option attack took over, with Nesbitt breaking a 57 yard option keeper to put the Yellow Jackets ahead for good. That score was followed by the defenses 2nd touchdown of the game, a 43 yard fumble return by SS Jerrard Tarrant as he ran untouched in the endzone. Nesbitt had a great game rushing for 109 yards and 2 TD. MLB Brad Jefferson continues to wrack up the tackles and had 9 on the game and CB Dominique Reese had an INTreturn for a TD.

With no shot at the ACC title game, a victory like this certainly gives the team confidence heading into their bowl game in January.

    Scoring Summary:

The Gators traveled to Tallahassee in hopes of keeping their National Title hopes alive.

Both offenses found moving the ball difficult in the early going. Gator TB Emmanuel Moody was injured on the first drive and would not return. The Gators finally struck early in the second quarter when inexplicably the Seminoles left speedy WR Deonte Thompson wide open and QB John Brantley would find him for a 67yd TD. Brantley would add another TD pass to TE Jordan Reed to end the first half scoring.

If you like to watch defensive football, you would have loved watching this second half. It seemed the Gators were content just pounding 3rd string TB Mike Gillislee and getting the hell out of Tallahassee. Gillislee gave Gator fans a glimpse of the future with tough running all game. Brantley was good but not great. The Defense was the story as FSU could never get anything going. Caleb Sturgis would add a 35yd FG and the Gator defense would sack Seminole QB EJ Manuel for a safety to end the scoring.

    Final - Florida 19 Florida St 0

WR Deonte Thompson was named player of the game. He had 5 catches for 118yds with the one long TD. Gillislee led the Gator ground attack with 117yds on 20 carries. Brantley was 16-30 with 223yds and 2TD's but he also threw 2 picks.

The Gators now enter the SEC championship as the unquestioned #1 team in the country and with a win are poised to play in the National Championship game. The injuries kept piling up as the above mentioned Moody left the game early. He should be ok for the SEC title game. The Gators also figure to get back speedy freshman Andre Dubose and all everything back Jeff Demps. The Gators have turned to a more power running game in Demps' absence but he will be welcomed back with open arms. Demps is arguably the most dangerous player in the country and will give the Gators a full compliment of all of it's playmakers for the first time in 8 weeks. It's still unknown who the Gators will face but they know whoever it is, it's going to be one hell of a physical game.

    Scoring Summary
