    Off With a BANG
GT opened the season vs Rival Georgia State. Needless to say GSU was shown the door very early with GT going for 42 points in the first half of the game most of which via the Option game. However new Starting QB Justin Thomas looked good throwing 2 long TD passes in the game. Many of us expected Vad Lee to come out as the starting QB of the Yellow Jackets after a great spring. However with the hiring of LSU TRUTH Vad made the move to WR. So far he has done well 4 catched for 91 yards and a 40 yard bomb. The 3-4 of the Jackets looked good as well but GSU sucked balls. We will get to know more in week 3 when GT plays Duke

    Ah the Bye
I hate Bye weeks here in Tech nation. It means we dont get to see the Magician Justin Thomas makes reads and crush defenses. In Recruiting news GT looks to be gaining interest in all of their targeted recruits of course destroying a Rival will do that for you. Now if they can win some ACC games and Beat UGA that will be a season. Next Week please come

    Dooooooooooooooooook is Doookie
GT Shat on Duke this week. While the 14-6 halftime score looked close it wasnt. Duke had 30 yards of offense at the half as Snoddy and Thomas were quiet. However the 3rd quarter came and Snoddy went bonkers. Thomas continued his solid QB play with the exception of a bad decision by LSU Truth. Holy crap we had a Davis Sims sighting 8 touches for 65 yards and a TD. Shocking to see Sims get so much action however with teams Keying on Snoddy and Thomas someone else was bound to open it up. Sims did just that. Breaking a few nice runs and catching a Bubble screen for a TD. The Tech 3-4 was all over Duke and it showed for Boone who after the first drive (9/10) went 9 for 25. Progress finally. Maybe Tech will have a real defense this season.
#VadleetoWRupdate - Another 4 catch performance this time only 44 yards. Had a rush for -2 yards on a Jet. Overall impressive. Has been the best WR Tech has had this season.
Recruiting still looks to be on the rise. I see some promising guys out there. Tell you what Tech Fans I cant wait to get 3* Glenn Smith here to GT. He looks like a playmaker. 18 tackles in his HS game this week. DAANNNNG. Also have you seen Tyler Robinson he is huge legit 6'8 and 320+. Him plus current FR Devine could be the biggest tackle Duo in the NCAA next season. 6'6 360 and 6'8 320 UNITE #GETHUGE #GTGETTINGSWOLE
Look for the real test of GT next week @North Carolina coached by user Roggie It will be a true test of Justin Thomas and the GT Yellow Jackets

    What GT team is this
GT looked like complete crap this week vs UNC. FR QB Justin Thomas looked rattled and the running game was weak as pond water. The defense couldnt stop a cold and yet the GT Yellow jackets still had a shot at the end to try and win. The lone bright spot was RB Snoddy who is looking like a true workhorse for GT overtaking both Davis Sims and Days. Snoddy is a one cut kinda guy and he isnt afraid of contact. He should be a fixture at GT for years to come as he is just a SO.
In other news GT recruiting was stale this week. No added news on that side of the program.
Overall not a great week for GT football. Great thing is there is next week. :)

    The bounce back
GT looked as if there might be a hangover from the UNC loss. The offense however looked fantastic. The defense was like swiss cheese, Stinky and filled with holes. Back to the good stuff. The GT offense moving more and more to the spread in the beginning weeks of the season looks to have made the switch 100% of the time. We didnt see a fleXbox One set out there. While they lined up in some traditional I formation stuff they still ran the ball and used the option to do it. Just out of the gun. Thomas looked 1000X better going 23/32 for 278 and leading some clutch drives towards the end of the game. Snoddy carried the load with 21 carries for 136 yards, he was also the leading receiver with 8 catches. Thomas added 92 on 15 touches. No positive things to say about the defense. Except they got a stop when they needed to.
Recruiting made a big jump this week and it looks like there will be a few kids signing soon. GT backed out of a 6'3 ATH because they felt he was for sure going to ND look for them to maybe get back in later with an unlock.
#VADLEETOWRUPDATE - Vad is playing well. He is the leading WR. They are still working on getting him the ball more

    HOLY Hurricanes
The Miami Hurricanes looked fantastic this week vs GT. However The GT offense again looked good in its new spread look. This time losing JT to an early back injury the back up Byerly came in and played well. Snoddy is still the man with 20 carries for 100 yards. Sims looks like he could be getting back into the rotation as he was the backup at RB this week. He added 10 carries for 43 yards. Even Days made a key play late in the game a 29 yard TD catch and run where he trucked a miami defender. The defense has looked terrible for 3 straight weeks and is beginning to be a cause for concern. Vad Lee's dropped onside Kick gave Miami a chance to win the game after DUKE JOHNSON took a kickoff back 100 yards on the GT special teams. Boy we could be in trouble if the offense struggles at all.
In recruiting news GT signs 2 OL.
3* Tyler Robinson - He is a huge man 6'8 320. Also a Gem at 74 overall. Will redshirt for sure and possibly start as a RSFR at RT.
2* Anthony May - Another Big OL at 6'4 316 at C. He is a JUCO guy however an incoming So and will redshirt for GT. May see playing time may not.
GT hopes to add Glenn Smith MLB and RB Justin Goodwin soon. Both players are very high on GT and could help the program. Smith added 22 tackles in his HS game this week and Goodwin had a down week rushing for 93 yards on 18 carries and a fumble. Ut oh.
