    Your Must-Win Pre-Game Rituals

Let's face it, we've all lost games.

I've done so in previous (off-line) dynasties due various reasons. This has happened when I've rushed games or failed to take them seriously. There's also been instances when I've lacked focus due to a crazy work/school schedule or sleep deprivation. My most recent defeat came at the hands of a high-risk game plan marked by silly mistakes.

(And, you know, I've been beaten sometimes simply because I had the inferior team.)

But when I really, really need a win, I make sure that I'm in the right "mode". I set things up just right, putting my laptop away and locking the pets in the bedroom. I have a steaming cup of coffee by my side. And I make sure that every play-call is well thought out and within the flow of the game. When I play this way, I'm a lot harder to beat.

What do YOU do to maximize your chances of winning a "must-win" game?

I do the opposite ... and I throw pick sixes in the 4th quarter

Honestly, I have a huge TV and a basement where I play. Dark, quiet (except for the game noise) and no coffee. Makes me jumpy. I always have a fat glass of water nearby, though.

Good point - I may have to incorporate this rule as well. Down 14-3 last night, my heart rate was through the roof.

AG, do you play with the commentary on?

I turn the game on and play it. I figured that my two hardest games this year were Idaho and New Mexico, so there is no reason to worry about big games, because I got pumped for USC and Oregon State and they were cake-walks

I prefer the early a.m. game with every one asleep. 1 cup of coffee first half, 1 cup of coffee second half.

The early morning "coffee" game is usually more successful for me, however, the late night "whiskey" game is sure a hell of a lot more fun!!:D The latter is also probably the main reason for my poor performing defense:mad:

Next time you go by your neighborhood liquor store, be sure to stop in and ask for a bottle of Night Train...after you drink it, let me know if you still wish you knew what it was:HoosierHoo:

I like to roll on the weekends, late friday night. A nice glass ofwarm milk, some cookies straight out of the oven. Each neatly arranged on a platter that features Bo Jackson, Tony Dorsett, and Ivan Drago on it. I like to have darkness engulfing me for about five minutes while I jam to the Little River Band on my Ipod touch g2. When I finally have my adrenaline flowing to the max I turn on the TV and start the game which has been paused at the pre-kickoff screen for nearly an hour. This my friends, is how I roll on gameday.

A warm cup of breast milk. I am TOTALLY VEGAN! I am also a card carrying member of PETA. I actually make my own ice cream from the wifes, and few other ladies breast milk. I run a regular lady dairy in the backroom here.
